The Toronto Honda Indy 500

I love visiting Toronto in the summer – it seems there’s always something going on.

This past weekend (June 13th and 14th) was the 29th annual Honda Indy.

While I don’t really follow motor sports, hearing the ‘rrrrrrrrrrrrrr….. zoooooom, zooooom, zooooom’ of the Indy cars flying by at over 300 KM/h on the Lakeshore made it hard for me to resist peeking through the fence and capturing a few shots of the action before continuing our walk along the beach front on this beautiful, sunny day.

I hadn’t brought a long lens with me so all shots were taken with the outstanding Zeiss 55mm f1.8; getting as close to the action as I could (and often using the 2X ‘ClearZoom’ fuction which does a pretty good job in my opinion).
