Knob Hill Farms, the giant super-store supermarket chain in the GTA began in 1951, and was particularly popular in the 80’s and early 90’s.

Unable to compete against large Costcos and Loblaws, the big-box grocery store’s reign gradually declined, and in the summer of 2000 it was announced that all nine stores would close.

I wonder how many Knob Hill Farms shopping baskets are still around today, filled with toys, tools, camping supplies, laundry and nik-naks…
